Provincetown...what can we say about Provincetown in a nutshell?
A destination for cyclists, artists, foodies, and a true melting pot of cultures. We love it.
We wish the bike trail went all the way there too.
For the average bike renter it just can't happen in a day, but with a little planning it can be done.
There are a few options to make a ride to P-town happen.
We have listed two options of varying difficulty.
Orleans to P-town will be about a 60 mile round trip and Truro to P-town more of a leisurely 15 mile ride round trip.
Charity bike rides such as the PMC and The Last Gasp generally travel Rt 6 the whole way up the Cape but for the rest of us
who want to enjoy the sights and not huff exhaust fumes and dodge speeding cars there is another way.
We would recommend renting one of our road bikes if you plan on riding from Orleans.
Renting a fitness hybrid and a car rack would be ideal if you wanted to drive up to Truro and do more of a leisurely lunch ride.
